If you are looking to get on top of your finances then a good start is to hunt around for the best credit card deal. It is getting harder to find such good deals around at the moment because of the credit crunch, but there are still some good offers. I have recently applied for a card which has no interest on purchases for nine months which I will treat as a nine month loan on a big purchase that I need to make. There are also some which have interest free periods on balance transfers but these tend to have a fee so it is worth doing some calculations to see if it is worth doing that. I also have a cash back credit card which I use for all of my monthly spending and pay it off at the end of the month. This means that not only do I get some money each month for using the card, but I also gain interest on the money in my current account which I would normally have spend on my monthly outgoings.

If you are travelling in Spain, long term maybe doing a working holiday or studying there then you may need a way to pay for things using a Spanish credit card or tarjetas Credito. It is worth taking a look into them before you go as you could find that you will be ableto get on much better if you use it rather than one from another country. Bigger stores, restaurants and hotels would probably not mind how you paid but for smaller places, they may be happier with something Spanish and so having a card from a Spanish bank could be really in your favour. It is worth taking a look into anyway and seeing whether you think it would benefit you when you are visiting Spain.

If you are visiting Brazil and looking for an unusual place to visit then Salvador de Bahia could be it. It is one of the oldest cities in Brazil and it is a city which is rich in history and folklore which is great for the tourist who likes to learn a lot while they are visiting a place. There are a selection of museums and cathedrals that you can visit as well as looking at all of the interesting architecture that Salvador de Bahia has to offer. Salvador de Bahia also boasts a lot of beautiful beaches and has great night life as well as a great selection of restaurants, which means that there is also something for those who are not so interested in the culture. There are a variety of water sports available on the beach as well as fishing. There are also coral reefs to swim in and of course the sunbathing! Are you looking for something a bit different to do? It is great having lots of holidays but sometimes they all merge into one if they are very similar. Why not try something a bit different which will always stand out in your mind? Something which you have not tried before, something not many people have done, something which you will remember forever? There are things like opportunities to fly a mig foxhound, which is something that not that many people have done. That would be a fantastic experience for a lot of people. The holiday will give you atraining course as well as the chance to fly the legend, can you imagine? You do your accelerated flight training coourse and then you are unleashed into the air to have some exhilerating fun. Now that would be much more memorable than wandering around an art gallery or sitting on beach wouldn’t it?

Finance and money seems to be all people are talking about at the moment. Either that prices are too high, shares have gone down, pensions are not enough or they have not had a pay rise. It is almost getting a bit boring and I am wondering whether people will ever start thinking about other things! I am finding the economic downturn to be fantastic for me as my mortgage interest is tiny so I can afford to pay back much more of the capital which is great news as I am hoping to pay it back early before the interest rates go back up and I cannot afford it any more.

I love to travel but have found that having a family has really restricted me. I know that some people find that taking their baby with them is no hassle at all, but it was not the same for me. Firstly, I had twins which made it rather more to cope with. Also they didn’t sleep well and so I was always tired and the prospect of travelling, doing more walking and sleeping in a strange place did not fill me with joy! Lastly there was the cost of it all. I am looking forward to the time when they are old enough to stay with their grand parents for a week while I have a well deserved holiday somewhere!

What do you need to Travel around the world or go on a long vaction?
The simple answer is you need time and money to do this, the problem most o fus find is that we have no time as were spending our time to make money so that we can go on those holidays. However when we realise that we work to live and not live to work sometimes it can put a new perspective on things.
If the reason we can’t take a long holiday say for a month is due to the fact that we need to work to make money, then what are we going to do with the money that we do earn? most people’s answer to live and have a better quality of live but if your limiting your relaxation time due to wanting to work then it sounds like your going to be working for a never ending cycle!
Relax and live each day as it comes!

I think that banks should be a lot stricter with their credit cards. People seem to be able to get into debt so easily. I think if they brought back the charge for cards, then this may put people off having so many. Then they should make sure that people realise how much they will end up having to pay back if they do not pay the balance in full each month. If they make sure that every one understands this then it may stop them getting into so much trouble. I guess the banks would make less money out of the interest but with interest rates so low at the moment they are not making much anyway.

I guess that my favourite travel experience was going to Perth in Australia. I have family out there and got to meet cousins which I had never seen before as well as their children and families. To me that was better than actually seeing the country, which was very interesting as well. We were in Perth which was pretty and fun and we visited the gold mining area, explored the bush, old fashioned towns, the city centre and parks as well as other towns in the area and had lots of fun even though it was winter time and raining a lot!

My brother in law was hoping to extend his house but it seems like he has been turned down for the loan. I think that he wanted to increase his mortgage to pay for it, but the bank are not so happy to lend him more money. He easily extended it when he converted his loft and his income is higher than it was then but I think that with the lending problems that banks are having, they are being tighter with their money. I am not sure where he is going to find the money from now, but I am sure he will find a way some how.
